Q: Can anyone come and eat at Open Door?
A: Absolutely. Our goal is to provide warm meals for people who need them or who might like some good company while they eat. We do have limits on space and time, but otherwise we truly strive to an "Open Door".
Q: Will you always be at your current location?
A. Our vision is to have our own neutral site location that can better reach the people we are trying to serve, so our home at Vine Grove United Methodist Church is temporary.
Q: Is Open Door a part of a church or denomination?
A. We are proud to be a Christian-affiliated ministry, but we are exclusively with a specific church or denomination. We are intentionally designed to be a community partnership of many churches and organizations. Our belief is we are strongest when we can partner together.
Q: Will you be “opening your doors” to serve meals more than just Saturday?
A: Our vision for the near future is to serve meals multiple days a week and expand our ministry to include others ways in which me might help our neighbor.
